Q: Why no hardware can be found after the software is installed and the computer is restarted?

A: Check if the USB connector is well connected to the scanner and PC. Then check if the world card driver is installed properly. Check at the "Device manager" of the "System" folder inside the control panel. There should be only one item (A8 Namecard-D Controller) under the item "Imaging Device". If you find no such information, please follow manual's instructions and install the driver again.

Q: In case the scanner and the driver are both installed properly, why the below situations still happened -- can't sense the card/ can't scan/can't find the scanner?

A: It may be the power consumption problem. The name card scanner is powered by the PC USB port. In some case, the power from PC is not sufficient. Connect the scanner to an USB Hub with extra power supply, it can solve the power shortage problem.

Q: Some customers has installed the WorldCard successfully, but once they tried to scan name card, it comes out all white, no picture and no text has been output on screen.

A: Try to recalibrate the World Card with a blank white card again.

Q: After the scanner is used for a while, the scanning quality and recognition accuracy become lower, why?

A: It's normal situation. Do calibration with a blank white card to calibrate colors when you feel the images come indistinct. This will enhance color differentiation to ensure high recognition accuracy.

Q: After WorldCard is used for a while, why the hardware can't be found?

A: Reinstall the driver again. The problem can be solved.

Q: Computer has installed the scanning software OK. But whenever I trier to start WorlCard, it always crash with an error message of "Create calendar fail".

A: There are two files must be registered, otherwise this message will be shown.
One is ATL.DLL which is located in C:\Windows\system32\ , another is CALENDAR.DLL which is located in C:\Ppcard\Win32\ . Now we register them manually. Please close the WorldCard program first. Please give two command lines on START\EXECUTE\
regsvr32 "c:\windows\system32\atl.dll"
regsvr32 "C:\PPCARD\WIN32\CALENDAR.DLL

Q: In Office 2000, if the WorldCard function in Microsoft Outlook is accidentally removed, how can it be restored?

A: Please go to "Function Menu/Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options /COM Add Ins". Check "WorldCard AddIn" option to restore WorldCard function. If you already deleted "WorldCard AddIn", you must find the directory where WorldCard is installed and execute "Cardimg.exe" application program in "Win32" folder. Double click this program and execute Microsoft Outlook to restore WorldCard function.

Q.How to restore the previous card information after the WorldCard is deleted?

A.Please reinstall PenPower WorldCard and then select "File/Search Data". The system will search for the previous card database from your computer and restore it to the current installation directory.
